"I recently completed the Trauma-Informed Restorative Yoga Teacher Training class with Dawn, and found that it seriously upped my game on what I'm able to offer to my yoga students (as well as my clients as a licensed mental health therapist). The class content thoroughly covered both the stress and "rest & relax" response systems (ie. sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems), polyvagal theory, Vagus Nerve toning, trauma and the brain, key restorative yoga asanas to include use of props and transition cues, chakras, psoas release work, and helpful grounding and pranayama techniques. The training involved lecture, experientials and group sharing throughout our time together, making for an integrative experience. Dawn built an effective communal learning environment by making the information accessible to all in the group, welcoming questions and class discussion. I feel I am leaving this learning experience with the tools I need to be able to effectively offer this practice to students. I highly recommend Dawn as an instructor, and appreciate the expertise she brings to this practice."
